Bujumbura 20th February, 2021:

It is with  deep  sadness that  we inform  of the  untimely demise of  Mrs. Clotilde Niragira on  19th February, 2021. Until   her death, Mrs. Niragira was the newly  recruited Regional Director of the  Regional  Training Facility  (RTF) for Sexual  and  Gender Based Violence in Kampala.

The death of Mrs. Niragira is not  only  a big loss to the ICGLR Secretariat but  also  to the  region.  We have  lost a diligent and great  daughter of the  region  who  was  committed to  the  fight against Sexual and Gender Based Violence towards the ultimate goal  for  sustainable Peace,  Security and  Development in  the Great Lakes Region.

The  ICGLR fraternity joins  the  family  and  friends in  praying that  the God  Almighty grant  the family,  friends and  colleagues fortitude during this difficult  and  trying period. May God  rest her soul in perfect  peace.
